A burst water main is affecting the supply in a Carmarthenshire town.

Welsh Water said "an important" pipe had ruptured in Burry Port, which provides the area with drinking water.

Tankers are being used while work goes on to repair the pipe.

A spokesman apologised, adding: "Those customers with additional needs or mothers with young babies who are affected by this interruption are also being supplied with bottled water."
