Tributes to Gareth Durnell, Swansea crash death victim

A young father who died after the car he was driving hit a tree has been described as "a loving young man".

Gareth Durnell, 24, from Port Talbot, died in the University Hospital of Wales in Cardiff on 29 October.

The crash happened on Ynysallan Road, Birchgrove, Swansea, on 24 October.

A family tribute said: "Gareth was a wonderful son, brother, father, grandson, nephew, cousin and friend. A loving young man with such a promising future ahead of him".

Mr Durnell was driving a silver Renault Clio at about 08:30 BST when the crash happened.

A passenger in the car was also injured.

The tribute added: "Gareth would do anything for anyone and will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved him."
