Car drives off after Swansea boy injured at crossing

A six-year-old boy was hit by a car while crossing the road on a pedestrian crossing, and the car then drove off.

The boy had to be treated for facial injuries after the collision on a pedestrian crossing in Swansea.

The car, described as white with spoilers, carried on driving down the road towards the city centre.

He was crossing the road with a group of adults and children at around 17.00 BST in Llangyfelach Road, Brynhyfryd on Tuesday.

Police have appealed for witnesses and an investigation is continuing.

The boy was treated at Morriston Hospital for his injuries.
