A motorist who died after a car crashed into a wall in Swansea on Sunday has been named.

John Williams, from Clydach, was in a Vauxhall Astra when the incident happened at around 01:10 BST on the B4291 Ynys Penllwch Road.

The road was closed for four hours as police carried out their investigations.

In a tribute, the 31-year-old's family said he was "irreplaceable and one of a kind".

"John was known to his friends as 'Johnballz' and he worked at Virgin Media in Swansea," they added.

"John was one of the founder members of the Wales Tartan football club which is based in Winch Wen.

"He was irreplaceable and one of a kind. He will be sorely missed by his many friends and his entire family."

South Wales Police are continuing to appeal for witnesses to the incident.
