The National Lottery says a £1m-winning ticket bought in the Neath Port Talbot area for the 27 December EuroMillions draw, remains unclaimed.

For every EuroMillions line bought, players automatically receive a Millionaires Raffle ticket.

It is the second winning ticket in a week to have been won and unclaimed in south Wales with the other being in Cardiff for the 23 December draw.

A Lotto spokesperson said the situation was "unusual".

The holder of winning ticket number FXV864819 from Cardiff has until 20 June 2012 to claim their winnings, before they go to good causes.

The holder of winning ticket number GYQ687511 from Neath Port Talbot has until 24 June 2012 to claim their winnings.

Both tickets were bought in a shop as online gamers would have been notified of their wins via e-mail.

"It's unusual for a group of prizes to be so close together geographically, but it's a lottery and can happen anywhere," a Lotto spokesperson said.

"I can't remember the last time we had a spate of prizes unclaimed in the same area."

Players are urged to check "down the back of the sofa" for the ticket.

The Lotto says anyone who believes they have the winning ticket for any of the National Lottery draws within the 180-day deadline should call 0845 910 0000.
