Woman, 57, who died in Camarthenshire stabbing named

Police have named a woman who died of stab wounds in Carmarthenshire.

Jacqueline Evans, 57, was found in the Maesyfelin area of Pontyberem at about around 1655 GMT last Thursday.

A man was arrested following the discovery, and Dyfed-Powys Police are continuing their investigation into the death.

A spokesman said neighbourhood policing teams will remain in the area for the next few days and residents were urged to speak to them for information.

"Alternatively people can call the police non-emergency phone number 101 or the independent charity Crimestopppers on 0800 500111," he added.
