Driver freed as vehicle overturns in Pembrokeshire

Firefighters using cutting equipment freed a man after a Land Rover towing a trailer with a digging machine onboard overturned on a Pembrokeshire road.

A section of the A40 at Pengawse Hill near Whitland was closed for more than six hours following the accident at about 1815 BST on Tuesday.

When eventually freed the driver was taken to West Wales General Hospital in Carmarthen for a check-up.

Dyfed-Powys Police said no other vehicle was involved.
