Car crashes into tree in Swansea injuring two teenagers

Two teenager passengers are in serious condition in hospital after a car hit a tree in Swansea.

A section of Pentrepoeth Road in Morriston was closed for around five hours due to the crash around 2215 BST.

Police said the two teenagers, aged 18 and 19, are receiving treatment at Morriston Hospital.

Officers say a red Ford Puma driven by a 19-year-old male hit a tree and while they do not believe any other vehicle was involved they need witnesses.

The crash happened on Pentrepoeth Road near to its junction with Springfield Street.

South Wales Police said they would like to speak to anyone who witnessed the collision or who stopped to provide assistance.

They would also like to speak to anyone who may have seen the vehicle being driven prior to the collision and who had not yet given their details.
