Gwent Police has confirmed a body found in the River Wye is that of missing Monmouthshire man Liam Stubbs.

The body found in water near Broadrock in Chepstow on 15 January has been formally identified as Mr Stubbs, a 46-year-old teaching assistant at Monmouth Comprehensive.

Police said his death was not being treated as suspicious and his family had been told.

Mr Stubbs, from Monmouth, was reported missing on 20 November.

He was last seen in Monmouth's WH Smith store at 13:00 on 19 November.
