Man injured after Albany Road, Cardiff, assault

A man has been injured in an assault in Cardiff which led to the closure of a busy road.

Emergency services, including armed police, were sent to Albany Road, in the Roath area of the city, at about 14:50 GMT on Friday.

The man's injuries are not thought to be life-threatening but police said the road would be closed in both directions until investigations were completed.

Cardiff Bus tweeted to say seven of its services would be diverted as a result.

The road has since reopened.
