Queues on M4 from Cardiff to Newport ease following crash

Tailbacks on the M4

Traffic has eased on the M4 following a crash involving three cars and a motorcycle.

The collision happened on the eastbound carriageway at junction 28 at about 11:30 BST.

Two of the lanes were closed causing queues to junction 32, Coryton Interchange, but were reopened at 14:00.

There were 12-mile queues during the afternoon rush hour, with half-term traffic adding to the congestion.

Gwent Police said a motorcyclist has been taken to Royal Gwent hospital with serious injuries.
