Schoolboy hit by car on Colcot Road, Barry, in hospital
A schoolboy has been taken to hospital after being hit by a car in the Vale of Glamorgan.
The Year 7 pupil from Barry Comprehensive School was hit on Colcot Road, Barry, near the Cooperative Store at about 08:15 BST on Monday, a Welsh Ambulance Service spokesman said.
Nearby College Road was partially blocked following the incident.
The boy was taken to the University Hospital of Wales in Cardiff where he is in a stable condition.
Gerard McNamara from the school said he was waiting for a update on the boy's condition.
He added: "His family are with him as well as a member of staff."
