Body of man pulled from River Usk at Llanfoist, Abergavenny

The body of a man has been recovered from the River Usk in Monmouthshire.

Gwent Police said the man was pulled from the River Usk at Llanfoist, Abergavenny, at 10:00 GMT on Monday and pronounced dead at the scene.

Fire crews from Abergavenny and Blaenavon were also involved in the search following reports of a man entering the water.

Gwent Police said inquiries were ongoing to establish the circumstances surrounding his death.
