Traffic on the M4 has returned to normal after a lorry breakdown caused 11-mile tailbacks.

Queues stretched from junction 34 of the eastbound carriageway for Miskin, Rhondda Cynon Taff, to junction 36 for Bridgend.

Two lanes were initially closed, but reopened by 09:00 GMT on Wednesday.

Travel time between the two junctions was about one hour but traffic is now flowing normally.
