Victim of St Mellons crash was 'caring family man'

The victim of a car crash has been described as a caring family man who would help anyone.

Mark Collier, 38, from St Mellons, Cardiff, died after his silver Daihatsu Charade left the road and collided with a wall on Crickhowell Road.

The incident happened at 07:10 GMT on Thursday.

In a tribute, his partner Julie Gristock said: "There will be now be a huge gap in all of our lives that can never be filled."

She described Mr Collier as "the love and plague of my life" and "my shadow".

His mother Carol Collier said: "Mark was a family man. He'd give his last penny to help anyone out.

"He was such a kind, caring and considerate man. He'd loved nothing more than being out with his kids."

Police have appealed for witnesses to the incident.
