A seagull was shot three times with an air rifle in Cardiff, the RSPCA has said.

The animal charity said the injured gull was found at Lansdowne Road in Canton on Saturday by a member of the public.

An inspector took the bird to a veterinary surgery, where it had to be put to sleep.

The RSPCA is investigating and asked anyone who saw the shooting to get in touch.
