Tributes to pedestrian Jonathan Howells killed on A465
Tributes have been paid to a pedestrian who died in a collision with a car on the Heads of the Valleys road in Merthyr Tydfil.
Jonathan Howells, 48, from Cwmaman, died at the scene of the incident on the westbound carriageway of the A465 at about 04:50 BST on Tuesday.
Paying tribute, his family described him as "a loyal and fantastic brother and son".
The collision near the Cefn Coed roundabout involved a white BMW car
Mr Howells's family said in a statement: "Jonathan worked for various companies during his life and spent the majority of his career at Universal Furniture in Aberdare where he made many friends.
"He loved football and played for the local club as a youngster - he was an avid follower of West Ham United Football Club.
"One of four children, Jonathan lived with his brother in the town and will be deeply missed by all who knew him."
