Motorist, 69, dies after road sign crash in Sully

A motorist has died in the Vale of Glamorgan after their car left the road and hit a sign.

Cog Road, Sully, was closed for four hours after the incident near the Sully Inn pub at about 20:45 GMT on Thursday.

Detectives say the 69-year-old driver of a silver Citroen C2 was pronounced dead at the scene and it is not believed anyone else was involved.

Anyone with information about the crash should call South Wales Police on 101.
