Fatal Ynyshir crash: Motorcyclist's family pay tribute

The family of a motorcyclist killed in a road crash in the south Wales valleys has paid tribute to him.

Marcus Szigetvari, 35, of Pontygwaith, died when his Suzuki motorbike was in collision with a silver Vauxhall Vectra motor car on the A4233 Ynyshir bypass at 18:50 GMT on Monday.

Police are appealing for witnesses to the crash to come forward.

His family said: "The sense of loss we feel is insurmountable and the festive season will never be the same again."

"Marcus was a hard working man with a true sense of loyalty to his family.

"He died doing what he loved most - riding his bike and enjoying the true sense of freedom that only he knew.

"He had so many plans that are now unfulfilled and we will all miss him dearly."

Police are asking anyone who witnessed the collision or the vehicles beforehand to contact the Eastern Roads Policing Office on 029 20 222 999, extension 42333 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
