John Reeder cyclist death: Suspects bailed until 2 October

Three men and a woman arrested on suspicion of murder following the death of a 63-year-old cyclist have been bailed pending further inquiries.

John Reeder, of Pontypool, Torfaen, suffered head injuries after falling off his bike in George Street, Pontnewynydd, early on Wednesday.

The three men, aged 18, 19 and 23, and a 19-year-old woman - all from Pontypool - were bailed until October.

Gwent Police said they would continue to investigate the death.

The force said it wanted to speak to pedestrians and motorists who passed the scene of the incident between 06:00 and 06:10 BST on Wednesday morning.

Police arrested the four suspects on Thursday and were given a further 36 hours to question them on Friday.
