Five firefighters hurt in Monmouthshire engine crash

A firefighter has been seriously hurt and four others have suffered minor injuries after a fire engine crashed in Monmouthshire.

A crew from the Blaenavon station were involved in the incident on the Blaenavon to Govilon road.

The five were taken to the University Hospital of Wales in Cardiff and Nevill Hall Hospital in Abergavenny.

The road was closed after the crash, which happened at 10:20 BST on Thursday.
