Cathays, Cardiff, house fire: Lisvane Street rescue

Two people have been rescued by firefighters following a house fire in Cardiff.

South Wales Fire and Rescue Service were called to the two-storey, mid-terrace property in Lisvane Street, Cathays, at 18:10 BST on Saturday.

Firefighters used breathing apparatus, a thermal imaging camera, one hose reel and a safety jet to tackle the blaze in a first-floor bedroom.

A spokeswoman said the two people were given oxygen at the scene.
