Appeal as teenager badly hurt in collision in Bridgend

South Wales Police are appealing for information after a teenage girl was seriously injured in a collision with a vehicle near Bridgend College.

The 17-year-old was walking in Cowbridge Road, Bridgend, when she was hurt at about 1220 GMT on Wednesday.

She is from the Bridgend area, and police said her injuries were not life threatening.

Officers have not described the vehicle but have asked for anyone with information to contact them.

Witnesses are asked to contact South Wales Police on 101, or 029 2057 1600, their local police station or the independent charity Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111.
