Paris attacks: 'Rivers of blood' post disciplinary starts
A Conservative AM has begun disciplinary proceedings against an aide who referred to Enoch Powell's notorious "rivers of blood" speech on social media after the Paris attacks.
A post by William Graham's researcher Daniel Mason on Facebook asked if Enoch Powell was a 'visionary'.
He later apologised and removed the post, saying he had not "fully understood" the meaning of the speech.
A spokesman for Mr Graham confirmed disciplinary proceedings have started.
The assembly will provide administrative support for the disciplinary process but a decision on any potential sanction rests with Mr Graham.
A Welsh Conservative spokesman said: "A disciplinary procedure - conducted by William Graham, in conjunction with the National Assembly Commission - has now begun.
"It would be inappropriate to comment further".
