Man arrested on suspicion of Rhos-on-Sea 'black cab' rape
A 38-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of raping a young woman in Rhos-on-Sea, Conwy.
She was a passenger in a vehicle "similar to black taxi cab" when the assault happened at Cayley Promenade on 1 November.
North Wales Police said despite the arrest the investigation is still very much at "an early stage".
The man, local to the area, has been released on bail while investigations continue.
Police believe the woman got into the vehicle between Glanrafon Avenue, at the Llandudno side of the Little Orme and Rhos-on-Sea.
The question of whether the vehicle was a legitimate taxi is "is still very much the subject of investigation", said Det Ch Insp Andrew Williams.
