Healthy snacks scheme extended in Gwynedd and Anglesey

A child nutrition scheme is being rolled out in Gwynedd and Anglesey to encourage people to choose fresh vegetables and tooth-friendly drinks.

The Tiny Tums programme for pre-school children helps adapt menus to meet healthy food and drink guidelines.

Ysgol Feithrin Pencarnisiog, near Rhosneigr, Anglesey, and Cylch Meithrin, Dolgellau, have received their best practice certificates.

They are now encouraging similar groups to follow the initiative.

It was first introduced in the area in autumn 2015 by Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board.
