Man sustains 'life-changing' injuries in Bangor crash
A pedestrian has sustained "life-changing" injuries in a crash in Bangor, Gwynedd.
The incident involving a Skoda Fabia car happened on Holyhead Road at about 03:30 GMT on Saturday.
North Wales Police said the man, in his 20s, was taken to hospital at Ysbyty Gwynedd with serious leg injuries and later transferred to Stoke.
An 18-year-old motorist has been arrested on suspicion of drink-driving and dangerous driving.
The driver remains in police custody, said officers.
The road through the Upper Bangor area of the city was closed for about five hours, while investigations took place.
Police have appealed for any witnesses to contact them on the non-emergency 101 number.
