A fisherman whose body washed ashore a week after he vanished may have fallen into the sea after collapsing due to heart disease, an inquest has heard.

Brian Hughes, 66, of Llandudno Junction, Conwy county, was reported missing on 14 July.

The hearing was told he went fishing and was never heard from again.

Coroner Nicola Jones, recording a narrative conclusion in Llandudno, said Mr Hughes had drowned but there were "more gaps than facts".

Mr Hughes's body was found on the beach at Kinmel Bay on 19 July but his boat has not been recovered.
