Bangor hosts month of international poetry events
A poet "with a mute button" is one of the performances at a month-long poetry festival in Bangor, Gwynedd.
Poets from China, Poland, the Czech Republic and Serbia are taking part in the event.
Venues for readings and multi-media performances range from Bangor University to the town's pier and an empty store in a shopping centre.
Director Dr Zoë Skoulding said she audiences would "hear the distinctive sounds of different languages".
Many of the works will be translated into English and Welsh, she added.
Bangor Poetry Season, the third North Wales Poetry International Festival, runs until 24 October.
