Three rescued from stricken powerboat near Penmaenmawr

A father and two children have been rescued from a stricken powerboat which was taking on water after its engine stopped off the north Wales coast.

The alarm was raised shortly after 11:30 BST when Holyhead coastguard received a mayday call from the boat near Penmaenmawr.

Conwy inshore lifeboat helped take the father and his sons to shore where an ambulance was called to check on them.

Two others on the boat managed to restart it and it was escorted back.
