Anglesey driver and wife 'most likely' died after epileptic fit

An epileptic fit was the "most likely" cause of a fatal car crash on Anglesey which killed a 70-year-old motorist and his wife, a coroner has said.

Retired builder David Hewitt and art teacher Wendy, 67, from Llangoed, died after the crash in a 30mph zone on the A545 at Beaumaris in May.

The Citroen hit a skip and parked car.

Coroner Nicola Jones said Mr Hewitt would have put "rigid pressure" on the accelerator as a result of a fit, ruling the deaths to be accidental.

Mrs Hewitt died five days after the crash at a hospital in Stoke.
