Man 'semi-conscious' after Penmaenmawr water bike fall

A 65-year-old man has been taken to hospital after being knocked off a water bike off the north Wales coast.

The alert came at Penmaenmawr, near Conwy, at 14:30 BST on Sunday.

Holyhead coastguard said he was rescued semi-conscious from the sea by crew on the the local sailing club's safety boat who found him lying face down after he spent 20 minutes in the water.

The man was taken by ambulance to Ysbyty Gwynedd hospital in Bangor, although his condition is not known.
