Missing Buckley woman appeal a year later
Police are marking the 12 month anniversary of the disappearance of a Flintshire woman with a renewed appeal.
There has been no sign of Pauline Annette Edwards, 69, from Buckley since 5 February 2010.
Mrs Edwards had been staying at her holiday home in Trefor, near Caernarfon, Gwynedd at the time.
Extensive searches by mountain rescue units, search dogs, coastguards and police units failed to find any trace of her.
"As we approach the first anniversary of Mrs Edwards' disappearance, I would ask all members of the public in Trefor, and the Lleyn peninsular areas, to think back 12 months to the afternoon of Friday 5th February," said Inspector Mark Armstrong from North Wales Police.
Mrs Edwards was last seen at around 1600 GMT in the Lime Street are of Trefor.
'On her own'
There were also a number of possible later sightings of Mrs Edwards possibly on the path leading from the village toward the pier, known locally as Cei Pren.
"We are asking for information from anyone in the Trefor area who saw a woman on her own walking near the sea on the headland above Trefor or near the pier," Insp Armstrong said.
"If you saw something that may help us confirm Mrs Edwards' movements on the day then we want to hear from you," he added.
Insp Armstrong said there had been air, sea and land searches "on a scale not normally seen in north Wales".
"Unfortunately these have failed to locate Mrs Edwards," he said.
In addition to the renewed appeal the police are also planning to revisit the area and carry out further searches along the shoreline, as well as in and around the village of Trefor.
"We hope that this will also jog the memories of members of the public," he said.
Insp Armstrong added: "Specially trained police officers remain in regular contact with Mrs Edwards' family throughout this traumatic time and they are aware and fully supportive of the continue efforts to locate her."
Mrs Edwards was last seen wearing a long black boucle yarn cardigan, three quarter length black trousers and black boots.
She is described as 5ft 2in tall (1.57m) tall, of slim build and has collar length straight brown hair.
