Lifeboats call off search at Anglesey as man found safe

Lifeboat crews have ended a search for a missing person off the Anglesey coast after he was found "safe and well'.

An RAF Valley helicopter was scrambled after a man was spotted near the sea wall at the Cob causeway, by the A55 near Holyhead.

The search began at 0300 BST after fears he had fallen into the sea. It was restarted after a later report a man had failed to return home.

Holyhead coastguard said he was located at 1337 BST.

It is believed the man walked into a pub in Valley.

Two lifeboat crews from Holyhead RNLI and search and rescue dogs were involved in the operation.
