Driver, 17, dies in hospital after Llandudno crash

A teenage driver has died, two days after a road crash in Llandudno, Conwy.

Ryan Llewelyn Owen, 17, who lived locally, was driving a Peugeot when the crash happened on the A470 at 2305 BST in Thursday.

He had been treated at Glan Clwyd Hospital at Bodelwyddan since the incident.

After the collision, three other young drivers were arrested and questioned. Police said they were suspected of travelling in convoy with the Peugeot.

North Wales Police have an appeal for witnesses to the crash near the junction with Vicarage Avenue.

The silver Peugeot was travelling towards Llanrhos when the collision happened.

Police are appealing for witnesses to contact officers from the western roads policing unit at Llandegai on 0845 6071001 (Welsh language) or 0845 6071002 (English language).
