Tributes have been paid to a Rhyl man who died after being hit by a vehicle near Rhuddlan, Denbighshire.

Mike Juha was walking along the A525 bypass at about 04:25 BST on Saturday when he was involved in the crash.

He was taken to Ysbyty Glan Clwyd in Bodelwyddan, where he died from his injuries.

Mr Juha came to Wales from the Czech Republic in 2006, and worked as a chef for the Harbour Hub Cafe at Foryd harbour.

A family tribute described him as an "adrenaline junkie" who enjoyed mountain biking, mountain boarding, snow sports, but most of all, power kiting.

Mr Juha was "known and loved by many, and will be so sorely missed by his family and friends," it read.
