Urdd Eisteddfod celebrates highest attendance since 2012

More than 90,000 people attended this year's Urdd National Eisteddfod, the highest number since 2012.

More than 15,000 young people competed at week-long Welsh language festival, with more than 200 volunteers stewarding.

Urdd chief executive Sioned Hughes said the event had been "inspirational".

"We have offered something truly special and unique. The enthusiasm, colour, energy and laughter have been inspirational," she said.

The 2017 Urdd Eisteddfod is being held at Bridgend College's Pencoed campus.
