A busy A-road in Denbighshire is to close for two weeks, causing highway officials to apologise in advance for disruption.

Tree felling and maintenance is taking place on the A525 Nant y Garth Pass between Ruthin and Wrexham from Monday.

The authority has urged drivers to follow diversions in a bid to stop large vehicles from affecting villages like Pentrecelyn and Graigfechan.

Special plans have been put in place for school bus services in the area.

A council spokesman said: "The council would like to apologise in advance for any disruption and inconvenience this work will cause and is reassuring the public that it has worked with the contractor to take every possible step to ease congestion and minimise any effects on the local community."
