A Flintshire school bus driver has denied causing the death of a bin man by careless driving.

Council refuse collector Andrew Green, 39, died after a collision in Ffynnongroyw, near Prestatyn, in June 2015.

Jonathon Brown, 37, of Holywell, appeared at Flintshire Magistrates' Court on Thursday.

He pleaded not guilty and and his case was sent to Mold Crown Court, where he will next appear in May.

Mr Brown is charged with causing the death of Mr Green, of Buckley, by driving a Volvo coach owned by Voel Coaches carelessly on 22 June.

Mr Green, from Buckley, was airlifted to Stoke's University Hospital of North Staffordshire with a serious head injury following the incident.

He died two days later.
