Two new primary schools are to be built in Wrexham to replace existing facilities in a £10m project.

Work on Hafod y Wern and Gwenfro schools in Caia Park should be complete by 2017, Wrexham council said.

The project is 50% match funded with the Welsh government.

The plans follow the amalgamation of junior and infant sections at both schools.
