A company has admitted failing to ensure the safety of a man who died of crush injuries at its north Wales factory.

Christopher Williams, 51, of Acrefair, was killed after being struck by an unsecured machine press at the Ruabon factory, an inquest heard previously.

The barrister for Morgan Technical Ceramics Ltd entered a guilty plea on the firm's behalf at Mold Crown Court.

The case was adjourned for sentence on 18 September.

A verdict of accidental death was recorded at an inquest into Mr Williams' death.

On Thursday, the company admitted it had failed to ensure the health and safety of employees, including Mr Williams, by failing to provide a safe system of work for the removal of machinery and equipment.

Judge Rhys Rowlands ordered the company to provide a written basis of plea within 28 days.
