JCB's £2m investment for Wrexham factory
Construction equipment firm JCB is investing £2m in new equipment at a Wrexham factory.
JCB Transmissions has two plants in the town, one producing gear boxes, the other axles.
The company will install a new machine capable of producing 130 axles per day, which it says is more efficient than its existing unit.
Its director, Stuart Hughes, said: "This is a massive vote of confidence in the Wrexham site by the JCB Group."
He said the Germany-made automated unit would "help improve productivity and ensure we remain competitive in the world market".
