Workers at a Flintshire trailer-making company have gone on strike over pay.

Unite union members at Ifor Williams Trailers, Deeside, voted last week to hold three one-day stoppages.

The union said the 100% vote on action showed the strength of feeling among 39 staff who have been offered a 1.5% rise.

The company has previously said its factory has been significantly affected by the economic downturn and it had to remain competitive.

It has also claimed its new pay rate offer of £9.10 per hour was "well above the average" for Deeside.

Further action is planned on 28 April and 3 May.
