Four arrests over armed robbery on Llangollen Co-op

Four more people have been arrested in connection with an armed robbery at the Co-op store in Llangollen on Thursday.

Two were held on suspicion of robbery in a police operation on Friday night. Two more were held on suspicion of assisting offenders.

They were arrested in Denbigh and are being held at St Aspah.

A man from the Denbigh area was already in custody over the robbery at the Regent Street store at 1950 GMT during which a knife was recovered.

North Wales Police said the man was being questioned at St Asaph.
