Cat found in Bagillt with wire noose around neck

Police are concerned cats in Flintshire are being targeted after one animal was discovered with a wire noose around its neck.

Owner Charlene Bonar, 28, from Bagillt, said one of her three cats, Motoo, came home on Wednesday with wire around his neck.

A few weeks ago, she said another of her cats, Gin, was sprayed with purple paint around his neck.

Anyone with information is asked to call police on 101 if in Wales.

Ms Bonar said: "Motoo came home with a piece of wire around his neck. It was pulled quite tight.

"It had a piece of tape and frayed rope attached to it.

"He was okay. But I was concerned because a couple of weeks ago another cat, Gin, came home with purple spray paint around his neck."

Ms Bonar said she did not believe she was being targeted but was concerned cats in the area could be at risk.
