Robbed Wrexham postmaster 'not liable' for stolen cash
The Post Office has said a postmaster attacked during a robbery will not be liable for any of the £54,000 stolen.
David Taylor, postmaster at Cefn Mawr post office, Wrexham, suffered concussion in the robbery on 16 July.
The Post Office wrote to him citing a number of security procedures and claiming he may be liable for £8,835.
A Post Office spokesman said: "This was a shocking robbery and we are absolutely not going to be asking Mr Taylor to make any payment."
So far £14,000 of the money has been recovered by police.
Two men have been charged with robbery.
