Man airlifted after falling at Ystradfellte Falls

A man was airlifted to hospital after falling and breaking his leg while walking in the Brecon Beacons.

The man, in his 20s, who was on holiday from Italy, slipped while walking behind Sgwd yr Eira waterfall.

A helicopter from RAF Chivenor in Devon attended the hour-long rescue, along with 30 mountain rescue members from the Brecon, central Beacons and western Beacons teams.

The man was winched to safety and flown to Prince Charles Hospital in Merthyr.
