Two men appear in court charged with Barry murder

Two men from Barry have appeared in court charged with the murder of 17-year-old Harry Baker in the town.

Peter McCarthy, 36, of Bassett Street and Ryan Palmer, 33, of Aberaeron Close, appeared at Cardiff Magistrates' Court on Saturday morning.

Two more men were charged with murder on Saturday evening.

Nathan Delafonteine, 32, of no fixed address and Raymond Thompson, 47, from Barry, will appear at Cardiff Magistrates' Court on Monday.

A 38-year-old woman has been released under investigation, while two more men, aged 22 and 21, have also been arrested in connection with the investigation.

Mr McCarthy and Mr Palmer were not granted bail and will appear at Cardiff Crown Court on Monday.

Harry's body was found in the early hours of Wednesday morning at Barry Intermodal Terminal, Wimborne Road.

South Wales Police renewed an appeal for anyone with information or who saw or heard a disturbance in the area between midnight and 01:00 BST on Wednesday to contact them.

Speaking after his death, Harry's family paid tribute to him as a "fun-loving son and brother".
