Man, 51, in court for murder of Trealaw woman
A man has appeared in court charged with the murder of a 46-year-old woman in Rhondda Cynon Taff.
Philip Andrews, 51, from Miskin Road in Trealaw, Tonypandy was arrested on Wednesday.
He appeared at Cardiff Crown Court earlier charged with the murder of Lana Owen, who also lived in Trealaw, and has been remanded in custody.
South Wales Police said it is not looking for anyone else in connection with the death.
Ms Owen's family said: "We as a family are devastated by the tragic loss of our mother Lana, she got herself through her lowest and got taken from us at her best. She was a big-hearted woman full of energy and very bubbly.
"She'd talk to anyone and everyone and do anything for anyone, she was a loving mother, sister, auntie, niece, sister-in-law and a great friend she will be missed by all."
