Funeral for Brecon Beacons crash victim Alesha O'Connor

About 600 mourners have attended the funeral for one of three teenagers killed in a car crash in Powys.

A service for Alesha O'Connor, 17, took place at St Helen's RC Church in Barry, Vale of Glamorgan, at midday.

Rhodri Miller's funeral is on Saturday at St Cadoc's Church, Cadoxton, followed by Corey Price's on Wednesday at St Mary's, Holton Road, Barry.

Margaret Challis, 68, also died in the crash on the A470 near Storey Arms in the Brecon Beacons.

The funeral of Mrs Challis, from Merthyr Tydfil, takes place next Tuesday at Georgetown Chapel, in the town.

Alesha's coffin arrived at the church in a white horse-drawn carriage for Friday's service.

Vale of Glamorgan council closed Wyndam Street and Court Road in Barry for the funeral, along with Wyndham Street car park.

Last week, about 1,000 people attended a memorial service for the four victims in Barry.

Seven people who were arrested on suspicion of dangerous driving have been bailed.
